Theater Field Trips

Broadening student horizons with unique theatrical experiences!

Grades (K-6)

Due to the constraints of the Kindergarten time schedule a theater field trip is not possible. Belle Aire is fortunate to have yearly workshops for kindergarten instead!

Last year a theater/director/ actress/choreographer graduate from DePaul University will teach an in-house theater workshop from 10-11 Wednesday, May 17, 2017. The kindergarten workshop was awesome! The kids were mesmerized by the talent of their director. They did professional warm ups and were all cast as parts to perform on their classroom stage, “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin. The students had a short question and answer after where they learned more about what it takes to be in a show and behind the scenes. It was a great experience for all.

Symphony 5/6

Every other year 5th & 6th graders also attend the symphony. Last year’s 5th/6th trip experienced travel time issues and students only were able to see a portion of the performance. Therefore this year 6th grade students only will be attending “Friends in Harmony” December 1st, 2017 at 10:15  a.m. in Chicago to provide them with a full experience before they graduate Belle Aire.
